Pitt is in the running for one of the top point guards in the country.
2023 4-star guard Ty-Laur Johnson will reportedly make an upcoming official visit to Pitt.
The visit will coincide with the opening of Pitt football season and the staff will no doubt take Johnson to the Backyard Brawl in order to let him experience the electric atmosphere.
2023 4⭐️ Ty-Laur Johnson tells me he will take the following visits in September:
Pittsburgh: Sept. 1st – 3rd
Ole Miss: Sept. 24th – 26th
Johnson is an aggressive guard that plays in attack mode all game. Can score the ball and is an excellent playmaker. #94 in the ESPN100. pic.twitter.com/JsHWQ5RXVx

Johnson is a player that the Pitt coaching staff has recruited heavily over the summer and attended many of his AAU games.

Jeff Capel no doubt would love to land Johnson and have him be the successor to Dior Johnson, who Pitt signed this year.
Johnson attends St. Benedict Prep in Newark, New Jersey and is ranked as one of the top 20 guards in the country.
