Pitt 2023 Commit Rasheem Biles Has Big Opening Week

While things don’t officially kickoff for WPIAL until next weekend, other areas around the country started their seasons on Friday including 2023 Pitt commit Rasheem Biles.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound safety from Pickerington Central High School in Pickerington, Ohio was the central figure in his teams 42-0 win over Olentangy Liberty High School.

Although he’s being recruited to Pitt as a linebacker, Biles did more than make tackles and showed off his all-around athleticism in Friday night’s win.

Biles, who is one of Pickerington Central’s team captains, rushed the ball 6 times for 40 yards and two touchdowns and also returned an interception 76 yards for a touchdown.

Following the game, Pickerington Central head coach Jay Sharrett had this say to about Biles to SBLive Ohio.

“Rasheem is a great leader for us as a captain, and he played great football on offense, defense and special teams tonight,” Central coach Jay Sharrett said. “Rasheem’s a very talented athlete with great instincts and it isn’t unusual for him to play 90, 100 or even 110 plays, because he’s capable of making big plays all over the field.”

Biles gave a verbal to Pitt back on June 19 and is one of the Panthers current 17 commitments in their Class of 2023. At this time, Biles and Leechburg’s Braylan Lovelace are the two linebackers in this recruiting class.
