On Tuesday, when Rivals updated its class-of-2023 basketball rankings, Pitt commit Carlton Carrington had a new, higher ranking than before.
Carrington comes in as a four star ranked at No. 94 in the nation in this Rivals update. Fellow Pitt commitment Marlon Barnes is ranked as a three-star prospect and as the No. 138 player in the class of 2023 in the new update.
247Sports has Carrington ranked outside the top 100, placing him at No. 101 in the nation. On3 has Carrington ranked as an unranked three star, while ESPN has him as a four-star outside of the ESPN100.
The Panthers’ staff is currently pursuing some other prospects in the class, including Rivals’ No. 54 Ty-Laur Johnson, No. 116 Jaland Lowe, and No. 141 Jaylen Curry.
