As PSN reported this morning, Pat Narduzzi and the Pitt football program informed walk-on wide receiver Gavin Thomson that he was being put on scholarship.
The redshirt junior from Pittsburgh Central Catholic High School learned of the news this morning in a team meeting.
To go from a walk-on to a player that played in five games last season for an ACC Championship team is a huge accomplishment.
A tremendous job by the Pitt football program as they capture this emotional moment for not only Gavin but his family.
