Former Pitt walk-on guard KJ Marshall has rejoined the Panthers and will be on the roster this season, a source told Pittsburgh Sports Now.
PSN has confirmed that Marshall will once again walk on to the team and will not be on scholarship.
Marshall is a 5-foot-9 guard from Reading, PA who played for Pitt in the 2019-20 season as a walk-on. He then played for Garden City Community College prior to entering the transfer portal this spring in pursuit of a Division One opportunity.
In the 2019-20 season, Marshall appeared in six games for the Panthers, logging nine minutes on the year. He tallied two total points and one rebound, scoring against Florida State in the mid-February contest.
Marshall played in 19 games for the Broncbusters in 2020-21, averaging six points and 4.6 assists per game while shooting 29.6% from the field.
Pitt has one other walk-on currently listed on its 2022-23 roster (Aidan Fisch – Senior).
