While West Virginia is debuting brand-new uniforms for the Backyard Brawl this season, Pitt is following the approach of not fixing what isn’t broken.
Pitt will wear its gold helmet — with a chrome blue helmet sticker and facemask to add some emphasis — with a blue jersey and gold pants. A classic Pitt uniform combo for a classic rivalry renewal.

The first Backyard Brawl in 11 years, hosted at Pitt’s Acrisure Stadium, could be the biggest sports spectacle in the history of the stadium.
A sellout crowd will likely break the record for the highest attended football game in stadium history, and College GameDay will make a special appearance inside the stadium an hour before the game — for the first time since 2005.
Kick-off is scheduled for 7 p.m., and for those who will not in attendance, the game will be broadcast on ESPN — with Louis Riddick, Matt Barrie and Harry Lyles Jr. calling the game for ESPN.
