Deslin Alexandre picked up a right arm injury in the second quarter of Thursday night’s game.
Alexandre, who recorded two quarterback hits and a pass breakup in just under two quarters against WVU, was looked at by the athletic training staff before walking off directly to Pitt’s locker room.
With Alexandre’s injury, the duo of John Morgan and Dayon Hayes will rotate more heavily into the defense, and reserve Nate Temple will likely receive more snaps.
It is undetermined whether or not Alexandre will return to Thursday night’s game.
Pitt led WVU, 10-7, courtesy of a Rodney Hammond Jr. 4-yard rushing touchdown, late in the second quarter.
