On Saturday, when Pitt takes on the Tennessee Volunteers on the football field, the Panthers’ basketball program will also have an important task at hand.
That task will be hosting several top recruits in both the 2023 and 2024 classes. Pittsburgh Sports Now will preview the recruits coming to campus, starting with 2024 forward Thomas Sorber.
Sorber will be visiting alongside Matthew Gilhool, another class-of-2024 forward.
Sorber is a 6-foot-9 forward out of Archbishop Ryan High School (Philadelphia, PA). The Trenton, New Jersey native and Team Final standout currently holds offers from Pitt, Georgetown, Maryland, Providence, Virginia Tech, and more. Listed as a 6-foot-9, 250-pound center on 247 Sports, Sorber had a productive summer on the Nike circuit, catching the eyes of scouts and coaches from all over.
I like what I’ve seen from 2024 big Thomas Sorber in both viewings at Peach Jam this week. He’s a load to deal with on the interior, has good hands and shooting potential too.
