Over the weekend, class-of-2024 big man Matt Gilhool will take an unofficial visit to Pitt to check out the facilities and watch the Pitt-Tennessee football game.
Gilhool is a 6-foot-10 forward from Elizabethtown, PA who holds offers from Penn State, Rutgers, Mississippi State, Bryant, and others. This summer, he has already visited Penn State and West Virginia, and will now head to Pitt for his trip there. Gilhool currently plays his high school ball for the loaded Westtown program and competed this summer for Philly Pride on the Under Armour Circuit.
“Matt was the most impressive prospect at the Philly Pride Media Day,” Kevin Daniels Scouting said about Gilhool in a report. “The 6’10” rangy forward displayed his versatility on the offensive end and controlled the paint defensively. Offensively, his soft touch around the paint and ability to stretch the floor to the perimeter were eye catching. Defensively, he used his length to change and block shots with either hand.”
Good ole country boy…won’t be easy getting him to move to a city.
