The Pitt Stop

In the debut episode of “The Pitt Stop” on Pittsburgh Sports Now, Mike Asti and Mike Vukovcan keep their Mike and Mike tag-team going and talk Pitt football and some other big games in the region this weekend.

Mike and Mike recap all that was from the Backyard Brawl and then get into the importance of the Panthers matchup with Tennessee. Nick Farabaugh joins the show to offer his break down what Pitt needs to do against the Volunteers and if Pitt being a home underdog should be considered an insult.

Thanks for helping to push the narrative that Pitt fans don’t show up despite proving otherwise every time we see success. Appreciate that you cover Pitt and blame fans not continual mediocrity causing the lack of attendance

We brought this on ourselves because we don’t support the football. Other programs come out every week, but here we only show up when there is a big opponent. Other programs can see this too. Our fan forums are filled with so much criticism that it seems likeee

We are the enemy. The attendance has improved greatly in the last year supported by the students and it is great to see. If this program is ever going to experience continued success, then it is going to take everyone together, and we will not be disrespected anymore.

The stated attendance for WMU was over 40,000 last year. I was there, it was probably between 30-35,000 in actuality. That’s pretty good for a game most ppl thought we should just roll over them. We’re not going to fill a 90,000 stadium. We broke the Heinz record. Not sure what fans are doing wrong at this point.
