It’s decision day for Hykeem Williams, and one of the top unannounced recruits in the country will be making his decision live in just a few hours. And Pittsburgh Sports Now will be in attendance.
PSN’s Karl Ludwig flew into Fort Lauderdale from Pittsburgh Friday morning to make it in time for Williams’ commitment ceremony at Stranahan High School.
Williams is one of the biggest recruits in the class of 2023, rated as a five-star prospect by 247Sports and Rivals — a consensus Top-5 wide receiver in the country. While Pitt may still be a dark horse to land Williams’ commitment, competing against the likes of Texas A&M and Florida State, there’s no doubt that Pitt made a strong impression on Williams and his family.
Tiquan Underwood and Charlie Partridge — Underwood especially — have built incredibly strong bonds with Williams, his official visit in Pittsburgh was the most fun he’s had on any of his official visits and Pitt is pushing the Kenny to Hykeem connection as the face of Pitt football in the future.
It only made sense to come down to Fort Lauderdale and check out Williams’ commitment ceremony in person and check out the support he’s built in the local community.
Stay tuned for PSN’s coverage of Williams Decision Day all day long.
I hope he picks Pitt!
We usually have no shot with these studs, unless they are damaged goods and want some redemption. All the credit to Tiquan Underwood, keeping these types of guys on our radar. I hope the hard work pays off because Minchey to Williams connection sounds sweet and promising to Pitt’s future relevance.
YES IT DOES!
H2P!!!

must be a big budget at PSN to fly down to cover a player everyone knew was not coming to pitt
