JEANNETTE, Pa. — Braylan Lovelace got a big night on the ground by scoring three touchdowns and Logan Kline scored four total touchdowns as Leechburg ruined Jeanette’s homecoming by defeating them by the score of 58-21 in a WPIAL Class A Matchup.

Leechburg (5-2, 3-1 conference) got on the board first on a 29-yard field goal from Ram Ten. The drive featured a few effective power runs from Lovelace and a 5-yard reception to Lovelace on a third down.

Leechburg led Jeanette 3-0 at the end of the first quarter.

In the second quarter, Jayden Floyd connected on a 35-yard pass to Logan Kline for a touchdown to make the score 10-0 in favor of Leechburg. The scoring drive featured a heavy dose of Lovelace in the running game and on a screen for 15 yards.

After making a stop on Jeanette’s next possession, Jeanette only forced an eight-yard punt, Leechburg appeared to have been ready to go up 17-0 but Kline fumbled near the goal line forced by Jesse McCurdy and Hunter Blazowich recovered the fumble.

After Leechburg made a stop Kline atoned for the fumble by catching his second touchdown pass of the game on a 5-yard pass from Floyd to put the Blue Devils 17-0.

Jeanette went down the field to get on the board before the half, but Peyton Molter threw an interception to stop the drive.

On the ensuing possession, Floyd’s pass got intercepted by Michael Mason. This led to Molter finding Jeremiah Williamson on a 45-yard touchdown to cut the lead to 17-7. Williams got two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties after the play. One for spiking the ball and the other for taunting.

This led Leechburg to have a short field after a personal foul on the kickoff return. That led to a 22-yard run by Lovelace.

Leechburg led Jeanette 24-7 at halftime.

In the third quarter, after Jeanette (2-5, 2-1 conference) forced a fumble, they capitalized on the opportunity with a seven-yard touchdown by Noah Sanders.

Leechburg answered back on a 28-yard touchdown run to put the Blue Devils up 31-14. He had a 15-yard run to set up the touchdown.

Leechburg led Jeanette 31-14 at the end of the third quarter.

At the start of the fourth quarter, Leechburg got back on the board when Kline scored his third touchdown of the game on a wide receiver screen pass for 47 yards for a touchdown making the score 38-14.

On the ensuing kickoff, Andrew Ross fumbled the ball and Kline scooped up the fumble and scored his fourth touchdown of the game making the score 44-14 after a missed extra point.

After Leechburg forced a punt, Lovelace pan back a punt 40-yards for a touchdown to make the score 51-14.
The Jayhawks scored on a 41-yard connection from Molter to Lonnie Greene to make the score 51-21 in favor of Leechburg.

Leechburg got back on the board on a 12-yard touchdown by Brandin Gilmer.

Leechburg will take on Rearview next Friday night, while Jeanette will travel to Greensburg Central Catholic next Friday night.
