On Thursday, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reported that Pitt star big man John Hugley and junior wing William Jeffress are both ‘expected to be available’ for the season opener against UT Martin at the Petersen Events Center on Nov. 7.
Hugley injured his knee recently in practice, and Jeffress was sidelined in mid September with a foot injury that has kept him out for the last several weeks of practice.
Hugley led the Panthers in scoring and rebounding last season as a sophomore, averaging 14.8 points and 7.9 rebounds per game. He started 31 games on the year and earned All-ACC honorable mention honors.

Jeffress averaged 3.4 points and 3.3 rebounds per game last season, which was also his sophomore campaign.
