Pitt 2023 Commit Daidren Zipperer Taking Official Visit to Pac-12 School

Published

Daidren Zipperer announced his commitment to Pitt on September 24th, but it appears as though he’s not 100% committed.

The 3-star wide receiver from Lakeland, Florida has announced that is currently on an official visit to Utah.

On the surface, this visit no doubt raises questions as to Zipperer’s long term commitment to Pitt and whether there still is one. Taking an official visit to another school less than a month after announcing a commitment is unusual.

Pittsburgh Sports Now has reached out to Zipperer but we haven’t received a response as of yet.

Prior to committing to Pitt, Zipperer made official visits to South Florida and Central Florida.

Of Pitt’s current 19 commitments in their Class of 2023, five have come from wide receivers (Zipperer, Lamar Seymore, Jesse Anderson, Kenny Johnson and Zion Fowler), which seems a bit high considering they’re not scheduled to lose a large number of receivers from this year’s roster following the season.

Time will tell how all of this plays out comes National Signing Day in December.

I have real concerns about all of our offensive commits. Considering who we have for an OC. I sure hope coach Narduzzi corrects this problem soon.

Give it a break. Everyone know you have a problem with Cignetti. Narduzzi doesn’t. He tolerated Whipple’s Air Mail offense. TOLERATED! He’s a Big Ten guy. Successful Big Ten coaches run the ball.

Liked the passing emphasis last year.

$825K is more than $475K is why Whipple is at Nebraska

Read the postings, Nebraska fans are not tolerant of Whipple’s Air Mail attack. Dang, run the ball. OBTW, where’s the guy who hired him?

Cignetti is failing to develop the QBs. We have a good QB roster. Cignetti has not been able to develop an effective screen game. We are at mid season and have not seen a trick play yet. Every offensive call is predictable. Same worn out scheme every week.

Big Ten? Ohio State is pretty successful averaging over 300 per game passing. 200 rushing.
Successful coaches pass well and run well.

Pitt is a great school to pick if you are a WR who would rather block than catch.

This may be a blessing in disguise if WR recruits are overloaded. His 247 ranking appears to be the weakest of the bunch.

Like PSU’s chances of winning the Big Ten. Michigan outgained them by 300 yards. Time of possession was 41-19 in minutes. They need to fire Franklin and close the Creamery.

Oh Edward, don’t deflect. You just need some peachy Paterno to make you feel better

Why would any receiver commit to a team that wants to pass so little and run the ball the majority of the time. Jordan addison left for a reason besides money. Narduzzi has no interest in throwing the ball, even though it led to his most successful season last year.

OBTW, how many yards rushing did Michigan have yesterday? And I see from another posting that Ohio State averages over 200 yards rushing per game this season.
Pitt isn’t Navy where they throw less than 10-times per game. You put 8 in the box, Cignetti will throw. Take advantage of the defense shown.

Michigan had 2 guys rush for about 300 yards combined. They pushed PSU all over the field. The fake elite team was exposed as an above average one.
