Vuk’s Week 7 College Football Rankings

Published

on

Huge games in Week 7 that will have an impact at the end of the season and in this week’s college football rankings.

The big winners this weekend were Tennessee, Michigan, TCU, Clemson and Utah.

Things will start taking shape soon nationally as the College Football Playoff rankings will be released in the near future.

Until we get those, here’s a look at my latest Top 25 rankings.

VUK’S TOP 25 RANKINGS

1. Georgia– A handful of teams are looking like championship caliber, but the bottom line is Georgia is the best team in the country until someone beats them.
2) Ohio State– An argument can be made for this slot but I’m going with the team with tons of NFL talent and more importantly, one that has been in this position plenty of times recently.
3) Tennessee– Wow, what a performance by Hendon Hooker, Jalin Hyatt and the Vols. Any questions about whether or not they’re for real were answered yesterday. In two weeks, Tennessee will be in Georgia.
4) Michigan– I was tempted to move Michigan up to No. 3 but kept them here. Doesn’t matter because Michigan won’t be challenged for the remainder of the season until November 26 when they take on Ohio State.
5) Clemson– Clemson just needs to keep winning and they’ll find themselves in the College Football Playoffs.
6) Alabama
7) Ole Miss
8) TCU
9) Oregon
10) Wake Forest
11) NC State
12) Syracuse
13) UCLA
14) Kansas State
15) Oklahoma State
16) Utah
17) USC
18) Penn State
19) Kentucky
20) Texas
21) Illinois
22) North Carolina
23) Cincinnati
24) Mississippi State
25) PITT

you’re right…State Penn shouldn’t be ranked at all. Not a top 25 team.

i’m still not sure Pitt is a Top 25 team. need to see a few more games. i don’t think we are as good as what the expectations were preseason. a little is that those expectations were too high, and a little is that we aren’t playing well. still funny to see folks saying we should win the next six. presumably 4-5 of those teams’ fans are saying the same thing. let’s see. H2P !

Pitt stinks. Unless it runs the table which we all know is not happening, they don’t deserve to be ranked. That GT loss was that bad. And this season could be unraveling. Every game, in what should be an EASY ACC Schedule is critical. Just awful. NC State in the top 15 is suspect….

Yea almost beating one of the best teams in the country in OT with our backup QB playing on 1 leg. They stink. Sorry you didn’t go to a school with a football program…
