Pitt football hosts three Class of 2024 commits for official visits

LOUISVILLE — A brutal loss to Louisville has left a lot of questions as Pitt goes forward into the second half of the season.

With five games remaining this season, Pitt plays North Carolina, Virginia and Miami on the road and Syracuse and Duke at home.

North Carolina will be ranked when the Panthers come to visit and Syracuse very well could be as well.

With what you’ve seen with Pitt so far this year, how many more wins can you see this team accumulating before the season is out?

If the offense doesn’t improve, which means the play calling, the pass blocking and the Receiving corps….i see only possible wins with UVA & Duke. And they could even lose them after watching Duke beat Miami at Miami yesterday. Why some coach on the staff last year, wasn’t made the OC to continue the Spread belies belief after Pitt avg’d it’s most points per game EVER, last year. Or you bring in a Spread guy.

I’m not gonna lie, I wasn’t thrilled with Cignetti, but I thought it should be fine. Not exciting, but wouldn’t be a disaster. Obviously, I and many others were wrong. I wanted them to promote Marion as OC. Hell, maybe Addison stays. Then, I thought well they must be trying to go “bigger”. Cignetti was a bigger name, but even then I was disappointed they didn’t give the job to Marion instead.

Marion only has “it” in his mind. In Reality, he is a pretender and will fade out. He is too much in love with himself and the kids can see it. I like our Underwood. He is the real deal and the kids look up to him.

what makes Underwood “the real deal”? All I see is dropped passes and underachievement from the WR corps.

At this point Addison looks like a genius. Slovis and Cignetti would’ve destroyed his draft position. Smart move by the kid.

The problem is Narduzzi. He has always performed a few notches below expectations. When he has a decent OC, he disagrees with him, argues, publicly criticizes him. Whipple and Pickett are the reason Pitt was successful last season, along with Jordan Addison. Take a look at how Narduzzi cannot sustain national rankings: in 2015, 2016, 2020, and 2022 Narduzzi’s decisions. lack of discipline and poor planning cost Pitt a chance to stay in the rankings. Narduzzi is the same guy coaching in 2015. Hasn’t grown and hasn’t learned. And thanks to the idiocy of Heather Lyke, he’s going to be… Read more »
