Twitter Reaction: Pitt’s Blowout Loss to North Carolina

Published

on

Pitt’s loss to North Carolina, the latest in a string of disappointing results this season, has led to an even louder outcry on Twitter. With a 42-24 loss, blowing a second half lead and allowing 28 unanswered points, it was a night that just kept getting worse for Pitt — offensively and defensively.

Pat Narduzzi and Frank Cignetti Jr. received their fair share of criticism on social media.

Back to 6-7 wins a year with one upset per year they will live off of but a program nobody takes seriously

Go back and watch and listen to Narduzzi’s pre half sideline interview. Then watch and listen to Mack Brown’s post half sideline interview. One sounds like a great head coach and a professional, the other sounds like a nut job. Don’t take my word for it, just go back and watch. There’s a big coaching gap there

We lost two offensive starters from last year, brought in coveted transfers. Then Cignetti destroyed our team. He ran off Addison, he can’t coach QB’s. He destroyed our team. I am a true fan and will trust that Narduzzi will fix this.

This Coach Nuisance a genius as a defensive coordinator I think not. Either that or the Panthers don’t realize there are 4 quarters of football not 3 quarters.

This is most embarrassing team at Pitt. I have seen in over 50 years as a Pitt fan! Have been through bad seasons before, but they didn’t talk about CFP or National title like you clowns did. Be lucky to get to SHIT bowl! This team set recruiting back 10 years. All star d- line whole O-line coming back, and asswholes for coaches for letting you guys think that! A good high school coach in this area couldn’t have done worse now were stuck with MR. STUBBORN!

Chasman45, there have been worse football teams at PITT. I go back to 1962.

I really didn’t see this coming. Totally overestimated where the program was headed. I’m at a loss for words.
