On Thursday, former Pitt forward Mo Gueye was named to the Texas Legends’ opening night roster.
The Legends, who compete in Frisco, Texas, are the G-League affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks NBA team. Gueye signed a training camp deal with the Mavericks back in mid-August, and competed for the team’s last roster spot. He now joins the G-League squad headlined by G-League Ignite standout Jaden Hardy, former Houston star Taze Moore, and former Colorado star McKinley Wright.
Gueye played one season for Pitt after transferring in from Stony Brook. In that season, he appeared in 32 games, averaging 9.8 points and 6.3 rebounds. Gueye, a 6-foot-9 forward, shot 36% from three-point range and hit more than 40 three pointers on the year.
Way to go Maouhamadou. Wish you were still here, but good luck. H2P.
