PITTSBURGH — Pitt’s starting lineup against Syracuse largely features the same names it has all season, but there are a few tweaks from last week’s game against North Carolina.
Gabe Houy appears to be back to full strength as he’s inserted back into the starting lineup as the right tackle, and Matt Goncalves will slide back over to left tackle, starting over Branson Taylor — who has started the last couple of games.
Marcus Minor remains the constant at left guard, and despite Owen Drexel dressing, Jake Kradel remains at center — with Blake Zubovic starting at right guard.
David Green is sliding into the starting lineup alongside Calijah Kancey on the defensive line, with Tyler Bentley not dressed, and Deslin Alexandre and Habakkuk Baldonado remain as the starting defensive end.
The starting trio of SirVocea Dennis, Shayne Simon and Bangally Kamara remain as Pitt’s linebacking trio, but Tylar Wiltz is also listed as a starter with the unit.
The secondary unit of Marquis Williams, M.J. Devonshire, Brandon Hill and Erick Hallett is also unchanged.
Goncalves has been starting at left tackle since carter was injured
