PITTSBURGH — Pitt redshirt junior defensive lineman Calijah Kancey left the Duke game with an apparent injury.

Kancey went into the tent and then the locker room after suffering the injury in the third quarter against Duke. He made a quaterback hit on a first-down completion and then made no play on a sack by redshirt senior Shayne Simon. He made one tackle and one quarterback hurry against Duke sophomore Riley Leonard in the game.

With Kancey out of the game, redshirt senior Tyler Bentley will fill his spot at the defensive tackle spot. Other starters at the defensive tackle spot in redshirt seniors, Devin Danielson and David Green, will need to step up in the absence of Kancey.
