At 7-4 entering this weekend’s matchup against Miami, Pitt’s bowl situation is in good shape.
It’s those around them that will ensure pure chaos this weekend. North Carolina lost to Georgia Tech last week, though their path to the ACC Championship against Clemson is still clear.
Speaking of those Tigers … they host South Carolina who ruined a majority of Tennessee’s hopes and dreams last week.
This week is rivalry week in the ACC with many teams playing their in-state rivals such as the Tar Heels and NC State, Georgia Tech and Georgia, Florida State and Florida as well as Louisville and Kentucky.
There shouldn’t be many shakeups at the bottom of the conference, but at the top, the stakes are high and they’ll dictate most of the bowl game lineup.
Each week I’m going to take a shot at projecting who will go to each bowl. For simplicity, I’ve projected the CFP Semifinals and National Championship, New Year’s Six bowls as well as bowls the ACC is eligible for.
