The punting situation at Pitt this season was less than reliable, as Pat Narduzzi was forced to use three punters during the course of the season.
Trying to fix that position will need to be addressed this offseason, whether one of the current punters just gets better or Pitt decides to bring in another punter.
This weekend, the Panthers are hosting a punter that could be an option in 2023.
Jeff Yurk tells Pittsburgh Sports Now that he received an offer from Pitt and will be in town this weekend for a visit. Back on Dec. 2, Yurk made the decision to transfer from Elon.

Yurk averaged 44.5 yards per punt last season and was ranked one of the top five punters in the FCS.

PSN caught up with Yurk, and he talked about this weekend and admitted exact details of his offer from Pitt haven’t been worked out yet.
“I’ll be visiting this weekend,” said Yurk. “I’ll be watching practice, getting a tour of the facilities and school, hopefully having a good time. I’m really looking forward to being up there. We’re figuring out the details (whether it’s a scholarship offer or PWO), but I know for a fact that I’m looking for a scholarship.”
Pitt has competition for Yurk as he’s also received a scholarship offer from Memphis.
