In a high scoring game both teams made at least 50% of their shots with Indiana State shooting exactly that at 31-for-62 and Duquesne going 30-for-58 (51.7%). Both teams also made the exact same amount of three-pointers at nine.

Duquesne’s advantage scoring came from the foul line. Duquesne attempted 16 more free throws than Indiana State and converted them at a much larger percentage 88.5% to 75%.

Duquesne saw a basket from nine different players in the game with five reaching double digits in scoring. Those five were: Tre Williams (19), Jimmy Clark III (17), Joe Reece (16), Dae Dae Grant (15) and Kareem Rozier (10).

In addition to leading the team in scoring Williams was almost perfect in the game shooting 8-for-9 from the field and led the team in rebounds with eight and tied for the lead in assists with three. He tied for the game lead in scoring with Indiana State’s Cooper Neese.

Duquesne’s next game will be at home against Winthrop (5-6) on December 21st at 2:00 p.m. There will be a lot of basketball action that day at Duquesne, as the women’s team will host a game against Howard at 11:00 a.m. right before the men’s game.

NOTES:
*This was the 19th time Duquesne has come back from a double-digit deficit to win under Keith Dambrot.

*This was the first time since November 22, 2021, vs. Bradley, that Duquesne had five double-digit scorers.

*This was the third-straight double-digit game for Joe Reece.

*It was the third time this season that Duquesne score 90+ points.
