“He’s fine,” Capel said. “It’s nothing physical, it’s nothing academic, it’s nothing off-the-court, just dealing with some things. We support him, we have his back, and we want to help him.”
Hugley has started six games for the Panthers this season, averaging just over 18 minutes and eight points per game so far.
Hugley suffered a knee injury just before the season which held him out for the first few games. Since returning, he has struggled to reach the production that he posted last season.
Capel has to explain to Hugley that he’s the man but in the ACC his position is strong Forward not a downlow center. Pitt now has 2 bigger or 3 bigger 5’s on the roster. Chapel has to motivate him, like Dixon did Sam Jones when moving him from 4 to 3.
Hugley does not have size to play 5 in ACC, or temperament but if he stops pouting he can dominate most 4″s in ACC. He could be provide Pitt a big physical, though poorly coached team
Sam Jones? Ok. Btw Hugley stinks.
