PITTSBURGH — On Wednesday night, Pitt took down Wake Forest by a score of 81-79 behind a 24-point effort from Blake Hinson, who hit eight threes in the victory.
Hear from Hinson, Greg Elliott, Pitt head coach Jeff Capel, and Wake Forest head coach Steve Forbes after the game.
Could have been tears if Appleby makes the open look final three. Gonna see a lot more 1-3-1 with the #4 on top. Amazing 1st half offense but middling defense. Too many easy buckets for the center rolling to the basket. Second half was a struggle against the zone defense. Both Graham-Diaz brothers showed good things on offense but were pushed around by the Wake Forest centers. Appleby was a pest on defense but bailed Pitt out at the end.
Moving on, Miami on Saturday.
