Pitt Football Continues Recruiting Push; Getting in Early on Under-the-Radar Players

On Monday and Tuesday, a big theme to Pitt football’s recruiting has been offers extended to players from the talent rich states of Florida and Georgia.

On Wednesday, something that was very noticeable was that Pitt was the being the first program to extend Division I or Power Five offers to a bunch of players.

*2024 3-star defensive lineman Benedict Umeh from Avon, Connecticut. Umeh received the offer from Frank Cignetti, Jr. and holds other offers from Auburn, Boston College, Florida, Iowa, Kentucky, Miami, Minnesota, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Penn State, Rutgers, South Carolina, Stanford, Texas, Texas A&M, USC, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and Wisconsin.

*2024 4-star wide receiver Mylan Graham from New Haven, Indianapolis. 247 Sports rates Graham as one of the Top 30 juniors in the country. Graham holds offers from Alabama, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Auburn, Michigan, Penn State, Michigan State, Tennessee, Washington and Wisconsin.

*2024 cornerback Kai-El Pascal from Miami, Florida. Pascal holds offers from Maryland, Charlotte, UMass, Florida International, Liberty, Florida Atlantic. Pascal received the offer from Charlie Partridge and it was his first Power 5 offer.

*2025 athlete Derry “Chuck Norris from Spruce Creek High School in Port Orange, Fla. in Derry “Chuck” Norris Jr. Norris lists his height at 6-foot-4 and weight at 245 pounds and this is his first D-I offer.

*2025 athlete Kwasie “KJ” Kwaku from Atlantic High School in Port Orange, Fla. and lists his height at 6-foot and weight at 175 pounds in his Twitter bio. This is the first D-I offer for Kwaku Jr.

*2025 wide receiver/defensive back Tony Kinsler from Spruce Creek HS in Port Orange, Florida.  Kinsler lists himself at 5-foot-11 tall and weighing 160 pounds. This is the first D-I offer for Kinsler.

*Pitt re-offers linebacker Rodney Hill out of the Class of 2024. 247Sports rates Hill as a four-star linebacker. Hill plays for Flagler Palm Coast in Palm Coast, Fla. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 27 linebacker in the country and the No. 48 player in Florida in his class. Hill holds offers from Tennessee, UCF, USF, Wake Forest, Iowa State and more.

*2024 athlete Luke Reynolds from Cheshire Academy in Cheshire, Connecticut picked up an offer from Frank Cignetti Jr. Reynolds (6-foot-4, 205 pounds) also holds an offer from Boston College and interest from Louisville, Penn State and Virginia Tech.

*2024 offensive tackle Jack Hines from Avon, Connecticut received an offer from Pitt. Hines (6-foot-7, 280 pounds) also holds offers from Akron, Appalachian State, Kentucky, Marshall, Old Dominion, SMU and Temple.

*Pitt extended extend offers to a trio of recruits from Rockledge High School in Rockledge, Florida.

Jamarion Stephens (2025) is a 5-foot-10, 160-pound athlete with offers from FAU, Florida, UMass, Missouri State, Toledo and West Virginia.
DJ McCormick (2024) is a 6-foot-1, 190-pound linebacker with offers from Duke, FAU, Missouri State, Prairie View A&M, USF and West Virginia.
D’Mari Jenkins (2024) is a 6-foot, 180-pound linebacker with an offer from Liberty.

*2025 defensive end/tight end Colby Cronk from Palm Coast, Florida. This is the first D-I offer for Cronk.

*2024 running back Alvon Isaac from Oxford, Florida. Isaac (5’10, 170 lbs) holds other offers from Florida Atlantic, Georgia Southern and Grambling State, this is his first Power 5 offer.

*2024 3-star offensive lineman Elijah Walker from Spruce Creek High School in Port Orange, Florida. Walker (6’5”, 315) holds offers from Iowa State, Marshall, Penn State and South Florida.
