Bubble Watch/February 4: Game Results and Games To Follow Today

From now until Selection Sunday (March 12), college basketball teams from all across the nation will be trying to earn a bid to the NCAA Tournament.

36 at-large teams make the tournament, in addition to 32 conference tournament champions who earn an automatic bid.

As Pitt moves along with its season, PSN will be tracking the performance of the teams on the ‘bubble,’ that is, the teams that are fighting for those last spots out of the 36 at-large openings in the bracket.

VCU
VCU (18-6) beats Saint Louis on the road, 73-65, in a battle for first place in the Atlantic-10.

BOISE STATE
Boise State (18-6) lost to No. 22 San Diego State, 72-52, in a game for first place in the Mountain West. Before last night’s game, Mike DeCourcy had Boise State as No. 10 seed, while Joe Lunardi had them at No. 9.

NEVADA
Nevada (18-6) beat Air Force, 72-52. Joe Lunardi has Nevada as one of the Last Four teams in.
