Pitt Opens As Way, Way Too Early 1-Point Underdog Against West Virginia

Pitt head coach Pat Narduzzi and West Virginia head coach Neal Brown. ACC-Big 12.

There’s still seven months, basically the entire offseason ahead, until Pitt travels to Morgantown to take on West Virginia on Sept. 16, but the first betting odds are out.

FanDuel Sportsbook released odds for a number of higher-profile games in the 2023 season, and one of those is Pitt-West Virginia. FanDuel has set Pitt as 1-point road underdogs.

Interestingly, FanDuel also says that Pitt-WVU will kick off at 4 p.m. An official time has not been announced yet.

The 2023 Backyard Brawl will kick off at Milan Puskar Stadium in Morgantown for the first time since 2011. The Brawl, of course, was renewed last season at Acrisure Stadium, with M.J. Devonshire’s late pick-six sealing a 38-31 win.

If there’s one thing that’s certain, it will be a very raucous crowd at Milan Puskar Stadium on Sept. 16.

Absolutely ridiculous. There might be 10 more transfers in and out for each team before then.
