Jordan Addison Says He Has No Regrets Leaving Pitt

INDIANAPOLIS — Jordan Addison, infamously, left Pitt for USC last April. No point to rehash what happened for the hundredth time. But according to him, there’s no regret.

“Everything I do, I always live and learn from it,” Addison said Thursday at the NFL Combine. “You know, I learned a lot. So, I don’t never have no regrets. I always think everything through.”

In his lone season at USC, catching passes from quarterback Caleb Williams, he caught 59 passes for 875 yards and eight touchdowns in 11 games. He missed a couple of games with injuries and opted out of the bowl game, but his production was down across the board.

Addison said that in his year in Los Angeles, he did learn how to be in front of the camera. But he said that isn’t why he left.

“I wouldn’t say it was the exposure, it was just something I decided to do,” Addison said.

Addison is preparing for the NFL Draft now, meeting with NFL teams — including the Pittsburgh Steelers — and running through workouts. He’s considered one of the top wide receivers in the class, the No. 1 for some analysts, and a good week in Indianapolis could help cement that status.

It’s interesting, then, that if there’s one play during Addison’s career that he feels defines him, it’s one during his time at Pitt.

“I’d say my catch versus Virginia, just clinching that coastal and that just shows a lot of people that in big-time moments, I’m going to step up to the occasion,” Addison said.

Addison will be measured and run through drills later this week.

“You know, I learned a lot. So, I don’t never have no regrets.” And amazingly, he said what he intended to say.

Both he and Pitt I think were worse off for that decision, at least on the football field. His bank account is likely a different story.

It would have been nice to know the specifics of what he learned that was a lot?? Maybe he learned that making the move to USC did not come close to meeting his expectations thus it would have been better to remain loyal to the team where he was thee dominant WR.
