Duquesne Earns 6th Seed at Atlantic 10 Basketball Tournament

Following the conclusion of the regular season, Duquesne has earned the 6th seed in the Atlantic 10 Men’s Basketball Tournament.

The Dukes entered Saturday with a chance at the No. 4 seed but following their loss to Fordham and George Mason’s 62-60 win over Richmond, they dropped to No. 6.

Duquesne (20-11) will play the winner of No. 11 LaSalle (13-18) vs. No. 14 Rhode Island (9-21) on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. The LaSalle vs. Rhode Island game takes place on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.

Keith Dambrot’s squad has earned win over both LaSalle and Rhode Island this season. The Dukes beat LaSalle 91-74 on February 22 and Rhode Island, 81-72 on December 31.

The winner of the Duquesne vs. Rhode Island/LaSalle game would then take on Fordham on Thursday at 7:30 PM.

Duquesne’s first Atlantic-10 tournament game will be televised on the USA Network.
