Pitt played a near perfect first half as they led Georgia Tech by 13.
However, the team that played in the first 20 minutes didn’t at all resemble the one that came out in the second half.
The Panthers started the second half flat, sloppy and very tentative offensively which resulted in Georgia Tech taking the lead.
However, Pitt relied on their veterans Greg Elliott, Jamarius Burton and Blake Hinson to pull away with a 89-81 win.
This win in all likelihood clinches a spot in the NCAA Tournament for Pitt.
