Die-Hards: Pitt Storylines to Follow Offensively Entering Spring Ball

Published

on

Not to be lost in the midst of Pitt’s first NCAA Tournament game since 2016, and yes, the play-in game counts as a tournament game, spring ball kicks off early Tuesday morning.

It’s a transition for the second season in a row, but instead of looking to replace Kenny Pickett, it’s moving on from Kedon Slovis, Israel Abanikanda, Jared Wayne and a handful of offensive linemen. It’s almost a fresh start for Frank Cignetti Jr. — almost.

There are a few position battles, some newcomers — both freshmen and transfer arrivals — looking to make an impact and quite a few storylines to follow.

It’s exciting to be here in this moment, to have the entire offseason ahead and countless possibilities on the horizon. But it’s also an important phase we’re entering now, so what am I watching?
