North Hills forward Royce Parham is one of the biggest names — and players — in WPIAL hoops at the moment.
The four-star forward, who just finished up his junior year, has now narrowed his recruitment, trimming his list to four schools. On Friday, On3’s Joe Tipton announced that Parham is down to Pitt, Marquette, Penn State, and Xavier.
Over the past two years, he picked up offers from TCU, Penn State, Wisconsin, Xavier, VCU, George Mason, and others, but has now narrowed his list down to his top four. The Panthers’ staff has been focused on Parham’s recruitment for years and have had assistant coaches at his games throughout this season.
Marquette’s Shaka Smart has visited Pittsburgh to watch Parham play numerous times this year, including as recently as mid-February.
Parham’s mother, Kimberly, played for Penn State, and holds the program record for blocked shots there. The Nittany Lions surely have a chance at Parham, as do the rest of the schools in the mix.
Xavier and head coach Sean Miller have also stayed consistent with Parham throughout his high-school career, visiting him numerous times.
Parham stands at 6-foot-8 and plays the forward position. He ranks as the No. 69 player in the class of 2024 according to the 247 Sports Composite rankings.
