Pitt has been active in the transfer portal from the moment the portal opened on March 13.
Now, more than two weeks into the portal window, we are continuing to find out who the Panthers have been reaching out to in the portal. The most recent player is Bryant Selebangue, a 6-foot-8 forward who is transferring from Tulsa.
Selebangue told PSN that he has heard from Pitt, as well as nine other schools, since he entered on March 21. The Montreal, Quebec native began his college career at Hutchinson Community College, then played for Florida Southwestern Community College, and then played at Tulsa for one season. This year at Tulsa, he averaged 12 points and 9.2 rebounds per game (32nd in the nation). According to The Portal Report, Selebangue is one of just seven players available in the portal that averaged at least 12 points and nine rebounds per game this year.
Standing at 6-foot-8, 227 pounds, Selebangue shot 62% from the field, 51% from the free-throw line, and only attempted one three this season, which he missed.
Selebangue told PSN that he has heard from Maryland, Pitt, Arkansas, UCF, Florida, Virginia Tech, Oregon State, Vanderbilt, TCU, and Georgia, among others. He said that he has spoken to some programs about visits but has not planned anything official yet.
