Thursday will be another big day for the Pitt Panther football program in terms of recruiting.
PSN previously told you about the visit tomorrow from Aliquippa 2024 4-star linebacker Cam Lindsey and he’ll joined by at least two other major recruits.
2024 4-star wide receiver and Pitt commit Ric’Darious “Day-Day” Farmer and 2024 4-star wide receiver Keylen Adams will be in Pittsburgh making unofficial visits.
Farmer committed to Pitt back on Christmas Day and has maintained a strong relationship with Pitt and in particular, wide receivers coach Tiquan Underwood.
The native of Cocoa High School in Cocoa, Fla. has a Rivals 5.8 rating and committed to Pitt over other offers from West Virginia, Virginia, Central Florida, Texas A&M, Purdue, Penn State, Nebraska, Missouri, Minnesota, Michigan State, Miami Fla., Iowa State, Georgia Tech, Boston College and Arizona State.
This will be the 4th visit that Farmer has made to Pitt, with two coming in 2022 and the other coming on January 28, 2023.
Farmer is one of the ten current members of Pitt’s Class of 2024.
Adams is another player that Underwood is working hard to try to join Farmer in his wide receiver’s room.
Adams is a 6-foot-2, 180-pound wideout from Green Run High in Virginia Beach, Va. and is a consensus 4-star recruit and holds a 5.8 rating from Rivals.com.
Back in February, Adams narrowed his long list of offers down to just four schools:Â Pitt, Penn State, West Virginia and Virginia Tech. Aside from these four schools, Adams also received offers from Alabama, Florida State, Miami, Michigan State, North Carolina, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Michigan, Maryland, Virginia, NC State and Syracuse.
Adams hauled in 41 receptions for 1,030 yards (25.1 yards per reception) and 16 touchdowns as a junior on a 13-1 Green Run squad that advanced to the VHSL state semifinals in 2022.
247Sports rates Adams as the No. 100 recruit in his class (20th-ranked wide receiver and the top-ranked recruit from Virginia) while Rivals rates him as the No. 170 recruit in his class (25th-ranked wide receiver and the third-ranked recruit from Virginia).
On3 rates him as the No. 120 recruit in his class (15th-ranked wide receiver and the third-ranked recruit from Virginia).
Penn State, with their new wide receiver coach Marques Hagans, are rumored to be the leading contender for Adams so getting him back to Pittsburgh and on campus is important for Pitt.
