For the third time in the least 3 days, Pitt has become a finalist for a player in the Class of 2024.

3-star tight end Brody Kosin from Clarkston High School in Clarkston, Mich. released his Top 10 and a commitment date.

Kosin (6-foot-6, 225-pounds) says that on April 29, he’ll be selecting from these 10 schools: Pitt, Duke, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Kentucky, Kansas, Miami Ohio, Tulsa and West Virginia. Pitt secondary coach Archie Collins is the one recruiting Kosin.

When Kosin visited Pitt for the first time in January for Junior Day, he didn’t know what to expect but upon leaving, he told Pittsburgh Sports Now that it was more than he expected.

“I loved it,” Kosin told PSN. “Not gonna lie, flat out, I loved it. I liked everything about it. I loved the city, I loved the energy at the game, I loved the fanbase, I loved the coaches. Honestly, I loved it.”

Kosin was able to spend a lot of time with tight ends coach Tim Salem, Collins and head coach Pat Narduzzi.

Salem and Kosin sat down in the tight ends room, watched some of Pitt’s film from 2022, watched some of Kosin’s film from 2022 and compared the two. The pair broke down plays, looking for comparisons — and Salem offered compliments, of course.

“Pitt tight ends kinda do everything,” Kosin said. “They’re split out wide, they’re in the box blocking, they’re in motion, they’re in the slot, and that’s what I do in high school.”

As a junior at Clarkston, operating in a run-heavy offense as a receiver and a blocker, Kosin racked up 250 yards (14.7 yards per catch) and five touchdowns on just 17 catches.

“On the car ride home with my dad, I was like, ‘I could 100% be a Panther,’” Kosin said. “I’m not gonna commit right now obviously, but it’s a very top choice for me. I loved it.”

247Sports rates Kosin as the 534th-ranked recruit in the class (23rd-ranked tight end and 15th-ranked recruit from Michigan). On3 rates him as the 25th-ranked tight end and the 14th-ranked recruit from Michigan.

247 Sports projects Pitt, Kentucky, Kansas and Indiana as being in the best position to land Kosin.
