A day after landing their first commitment of the offseason in Western Michigan transfer Markeese Hastings, Robert Morris is preparing to host another talented forward.

Pittsburgh Sports Now has learned that 6’7″ wing Mykell Robinson, from Ranger Junior College in Texas, will be making an official visit this weekend to Robert Morris.

Coming out of high school in Missouri City, Texas, Robinson elected to attend Sunrise Christian Academy Prep School before attending college. Robinson was a 3-star recruit in the Class of 2020. With an offer list that included UMass, Minnesota, San Diego, Austin Peay and Mississippi Valley State, Robinson decided to stay home and play for North Texas.

However, after just one season, Robinson left North Texas and ended up at Ranger JC. In 34 games last season, Robinson averaged 12.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game, while shooting 43.2% from the field and 32.4% from 3-point range.

Andy Toole is looking to replace veteran graduate Kahiel Spear and transfers Enoch Cheeks, Michael Green III, Matt Mayers, and Tristian Jeffries. The Colonials finished 16-17 overall and 10-10 in Horizon League play.
