Pitt transfer forward John Hugley has found a new home after spending weeks in the transfer portal.
According to Joe Tipton of On3, Hugley will be taking his talents to Norman, Oklahoma to join Porter Moser and the Sooners in the Big 12.
Hugley, a 6-foot-9 forward, spent three years with the Pitt program. As a freshman, the Cleveland native appeared in seven games, averaging 5.1 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. He exploded onto the scene as a sophomore, averaging 14.8 points per game along with 7.9 rebounds to earn All-ACC Honorable Mention honors. This past season, Hugley injured his knee just before the year started, which derailed his junior campaign. After appearing in eight games and averaging eight points and 3.6 rebounds per game, Hugley decided to sit out the remainder of the season in order to get well both mentally and physically.
He then announced that he would be entering the transfer portal on the same day that Pitt took on Mississippi State in the NCAA Tournament First Four game in Dayton, Ohio.
Hugley moves on to the Big 12 with over 570 points scored and 310 rebounds in his career.
How much NIL $$$ did he receive?
But cry baby!
One dimensional player, good luck.
