One of the top defensive backs in the state has listed Pitt among his finalists.
2024 3-star safety Kahmir Prescott has released a top five that included Pitt, Wisconsin, Penn State, Michigan State and Nebraska.
The 6’1″, 180-pound safety attends Northeast High School in Philadelphia and is familiar with Pitt 2024 4-star defensive tackle commit Jahsear Whittington.
Prescott made a recent visit to a Pitt spring practice, which was his first visit to Pittsburgh. Along with Pitt, Prescott was also able to make unofficial visits to Penn State and Wisconsin this spring.
Cory Sanders has been Prescott’s main recruiter as Pitt was one of the first programs to offer Prescott, which happened back in April of 2022.
Now that he’s down to five schools, Prescott is anticipating making a commitment sometime before the end of May.
Currently, Pitt has 10 commitments in their Class of 2024, including five defensive players and one defensive back (Tayshawn Banks).
