Pitt Basketball Target Noah Thomasson Sets Decision Date

Jeff Capel has landed two transfer targets and will find out soon if that number will change to three.

Niagara transfer guard Noah Thomasson tells Jon Rothstein from CBS Sports that he will make his decision on May 10th.

Thomasson has already visited Georgia, San Francisco, St. John’s and has a visit scheduled to Penn State this weekend.

Thomasson tells Pittsburgh Sports Now that he will take an official visit to Pitt from May 5-6.

Thomasson is a 6-foot-3, 195-pound graduate transfer guard who averaged 19.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game this season. He has one year of eligibility remaining, as he is a graduate transfer. Thomasson shot 38% from three-point range this season, hitting 54 of his 140 attempts from downtown.

Thomasson’s stellar season earned him First Team All MAAC honors this past season. The left-handed graduate transfer is originally from Houston, Texas. He began his collegiate career at Houston Christian, before going to Butler Community College in Kansas. He then spent the past two years at Niagara.

Thomasson has already visited Georgia and San Francisco, and has visits scheduled to St. John’s, Penn State, and Pitt over the next few weeks.
