PITTSBURGH – ACC News and Notes surrounded DJ Burns returning to NC State, Isaiah Evans committing to Duke, and a former Miami player staying in the ACC with Louisville.

DJ Burns to Return to NC State

CBS Sports insider Jon Rothstein reported earlier this week that NC State big man DJ Burns is returning to the Wolfpack. He played three seasons at Winthrop before transferring to NC State for his senior year, now coming back for an extra year of eligibility. Burns averaged 12.5 points and 4.8 rebounds while shooting 56% from the floor. NC State clinched a spot in the NCAA Tournament but fell in the first round to Creighton.

Top Recruit Isaiah Evans Commits to Duke

The Duke Blue Devils landed a significant player in the 2024 high school recruiting class. Five-star prospect Isaiah Evans has committed to Duke, according to On3’s Joe Tipton. Evans is the second major player to commit to Duke for the upcoming season under head coach Jon Scheyer. Evans, 6-foot-6, hails from North Carolina and also received offers from Alabama, Texas, Kansas, and others.

Miami Forward Sanilo Jovanovich Commits to Louisville

Former Miami forward Danilo Jovanovich has committed to Louisville, according to Verbal Commits. A 6-foot-8 freshman from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Janovich was a four-star prospect out of Whitnall High School. He logged two minutes all year, playing against St. Francis Brooklyn on Nov. 23. 247Sports considered him the third-best prospect in the state entering college. Louisville looks to bounce back from its worst season in program history (4-28) next season.
