Only Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Mississippi State, Oregon and Pitt have produced top-20 selections in both the 2022 and 2023 NFL Drafts.

The Pittsburgh Steelers selected Kenny Pickett with the 20th pick in last year’s draft, and of course, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers made Calijah Kancey the 19th selection in the first round last night.

The Minnesota Vikings selected Jordan Addison with the 23rd pick last night, too.

It’s the first time Pitt has had back-to-back first round selections since 2007 and 2008 (Darrelle Revis and Jeff Otah), and also the three first round selections from Pitt’s 2021 ACC title-winning squad.

Pitt hasn’t had three first round selections over a two-year span since the 1988 and 1989 NFL Drafts, when Craig “Ironhead” Heyward, Burt Grossman and Tom Ricketts were all first round picks.

Pitt still has five prospects who should be selected over the next two days, with a chance to see Israel Abanikanda picked tonight and Carter Warren, SirVocea Dennis, Brandon Hill and Habakkuk Baldonado tomorrow.
