Peat is a 6-foot-8 versatile forward who is ranked as the No. 3 prospect in the entire country by 247 Sports. Peat is also the first cousin of former Pitt star guard Jamarius Burton. He plays for Perry High School in Gilbert, Arizona and Compton Magic on the summer circuit.
Peat has a plethora of offers, including Michigan State, Houston, Kentucky, North Carolina, and others. Pitt has now jumped in the mix, and will likely use its connection to try and win over the highly-coveted prospect.
Pitt recently also offered Darius Acuff, a 2025 guard out of Michigan. In total, Pitt has offered the following prospects in the 2025 class: Peat, Acuff, Meleek Thomas, Alier Maluk, Darryn Peterson, Derek Dixon, Jayden Quaintance, and RJ Greer.
