Noah Thomasson, a 6-foot-3, 195-pound graduate transfer guard from Niagara, will begin his official visit on Thursday. A Houston, Texas native, Thomasson averaged 19.5 points per game last season to lead Niagara. He shot 39% from three-point range this past season, hitting 54 of his 140 attempts from deep on the season.
The strong, lefty guard began his Division One career at Houston Christian before transferring to Niagara for the past two seasons. As a graduate transfer, Thomasson will have immediate eligibility.
He set a top five of San Francisco, Penn State, Pitt, Georgia, and St. John’s in late April, and has visited all four of the other programs this spring. His visit to Pitt will be his last. Thomasson has scheduled a commitment date for May 10.
Pitt has already received commitments from transfers Ishmael Leggett (G – Rhode Island) and Zack Austin (W – High Point). The Panthers return guard Dior Johnson (RS Freshman) and bring in freshmen guards Jaland Lowe (fellow Houston native) and Carlton Carrington (Baltimore).
