Pitt secondary coach Archie Collins watched Marshall play in person and made the decision to offer him a scholarship as a cornerback.
This is just the latest offer for this 3-star recruit to go along with other Power 5 offers from ACC schools in Duke, Florida State, Georgia Tech and Virginia, Big Ten schools in Indiana, Nebraska, Michigan and two Big 12 schools in Iowa State and West Virginia.
“Pitt came out to see me and after he did, [Archie Collins] went in my coaches office, talked about me, saw some film,” Marshall said. “After seeing me in person, he talked with me and my coach, got the green light and offered me. I’m excited about this offer. Pitt is one of my favorite schools and definitely one of my top offers.”
”Pitt is looking at me as a defensive back. I actually like playing defensive back the best. On the field, I use my height to my advantage. I also have really good hips and can move with any receiver.”
It didn’t take long for Marshall to decide that he wanted to personally check out Pitt, even just getting the offer on Wednesday.
Marshall tells Pittsburgh Sports Now that next month, he plans on making official visits to Pitt, Florida State and Virginia. The visit to Florida State will take place the first weekend of June.
