Allen plays safety for Trinity Episcopal School in Richmond, Va. where he helped lead his team to a perfect 11-0 record and their second straight VISAA state title. He also played a large role in a defense that only allowed 96 total points the entire season, an average of 8.7 points per game, including two shutouts to end 2022.

247Sports ranks him as a three-star, the No. 39 player in Virginia and the No. 120 safety in his class.

He placed, along with Pitt, Big 12 schools in UCF, Cincinnati and Kansas, Indiana, Arizona State, Missouri, Charlotte, UConn and Eastern Michigan in his top 10.

Pitt currently has 11 players committed in their Class of 2024, but none from Virginia. Four-star linebacker Jordan Bass, who played for Phoebus High School in Hampton, Va. and is highest rated player in Pitt’s Class of 2023, is the only commit from Virginia.

There are two Panthers who hail from Virginia in junior running back Rodney Hammond, who played for Booker T. Washington High School in Norfolk and redshirt first-year offensive lineman Isaiah Montgomery, who played for Landstown High School in Virginia Beach.

Pitt has 12 players on the 2023 roster that are defensive backs who have eligibility for the 2024 season. This also includes incoming first-year players in Cruce Brookins, who played for local Steel Valley High School in Munhall, Pa., as well as Shadarian Harrison, who played for Lakeland High School in Lakeland, Fla.
