Pitt Extends Offer To 2024 3-Star Georgia Offensive Lineman Kahlil House

Pitt has received commitments from two offensive lineman this recruiting season and have identified another one that they hope to bring aboard in the future.

While recruiting this week in Georgia, Archie Collins extended an offer to 2024 offensive guard Kahlil House. The 6’4″, 280-pound 3-star recruit is from Houston County High School in Warner Robins, Georgia. Along with the Panthers, House holds other Power Five offers from Cincinnati, Duke, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Louisville, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Missouri, Stanford, Central Florida, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.

“Earlier this week, Pitt started texting me and last week they really started communicating with me, they stopped by my school,” said House. “I believe they were there for one of my practices too. I guess I really jumped on their radar when they came and saw me and they official offered me yesterday. It was a blessing to get this offer. But honestly, I’m familiar with Pitt itself but not a lot about the program. I have a teammate that’s been up to Pitt, and he tells me a lot of great things about Pitt so.”

“One thing that probably stands out to coaches about me is my high school coach really works us hard, so I’ve really learned how to practice and the importance of it. I know how hard I’m supposed to go, how I’m supposed to feel, what I’m supposed to do and what coaches are looking for when I am practicing. Coaches also tell me that they like my aggression and my footwork. They really like my whole game.”

House appreciates and was excited to receive the offer from Pitt, but it appears as though they’re a bit behind because the talented lineman has already scheduled a few official visits. The Pitt staff will no doubt work to try and make a fast impression on House in order to get on his radar.

“My family and I have a few official dates already selected for June,” said House. “With the other openings, what we’re probably going to do is wait until the season to make the others, so we get a chance to look at a few more schools before I make my final decision. Pitt’s just going to have to keep the communication up and really show how interested they are in me. It’s good to see that they did enter the picture.”

“I’d say the recruiting process is a bit overwhelming but at the same time, it’s enjoyable because not everyone gets the opportunity to do this. Because of that, I treat this as a blessing, but it can also be overwhelming because this is a lot of information coming at you at once.”

House tells Pittsburgh Sports Now that he’s set up official visits in June to Central Florida, Ole Miss, Cincinnati, Louisville and Stanford. Schools that currently showing interest include West Virginia, Missouri, Virginia Tech, Duke and Mississippi State.
