2024 3-Star RB Commit Juelz Goff Sets Official Visit to Pitt

It would be hard to have too many running backs in a Frank Cignetti Jr.-led offense, and after taking two running backs in the last class, the coaching staff make take two more this cycle.

One of those is Juelz Goff, who committed to Pitt back in January and announced that he will be taking an official visit to Pittsburgh from June 8-10.

Goff — a 5-foot-10, 190-pound three-star running back from Central York High in York, Pennsylvania in the class of 2024 — committed to Pitt over offers from Boston College, Duke, James Madison, Old Dominion and Rutgers, and he’s been a leading member of the class since.

“The best part (of the visit) was just being in that environment and feeling you were welcomed to a family,” Goff told PSN in January. “I don’t see myself anywhere else. Like I said on my Twitter, 1,000%. I’m locked in.”

Goff visited Pitt’s Junior Day in January, committing before he left campus following a trip to a Pitt basketball game, and he last made it back for a spring practice in April.

He’s built a strong bond with the Pitt coaching staff since he officially committed, which obviously began well before his commitment, and it’s been Pat Narduzzi, Andre Powell and Dave Borbely leading the way for the in-state running back.

And while he put together an excellent junior season at Central York, running for 1,611 yards (8.3 yards per carry) and 31 touchdowns and adding 335 yards (14 yards per reception) through the air, his focus is consistency. And he feels like Pitt will prepare him for where he wants to be.

“I feel like their scheme fits me, so I feel like I can come in and just get to learn a new playbook, learn how everything works such as being outside of school, weightlifting programs and just getting used to the college lifestyle outside of the football aspect,” Goff said.

247Sports rates Goff as the 629th-ranked recruit in the class (52nd-ranked running back and 19th-ranked recruit from Pennsylvania) while On3 rates him as the 785th-ranked recruit in the class (52nd-ranked running back and the 17th-ranked recruit from Pennsylvania).

Rivals rates Goff as the 25th-ranked running back in Pennsylvania — holding a 5.6 Rivals Rating.

Pitt will be receiving visits from fellow 2024 commits Jahsear Whittington, Adham Abouraya and Francis Brewu, along with the likes of four-star safety Koy Beasley, four-star cornerback Terhyon Nichols and four-star running back Yasin Willis.

A Goff-Willis duo would be a strong combination in the class, and both will be in Pittsburgh on the same weekend in June.
