Zoo Crew is back.

A team full of Pitt alumni, Zoo Crew is returning to The Basketball Tournament this summer with a loaded roster of former Panthers.

Led by TBT vets Gary McGhee, Jamel Artis, and Ryan Luther, Zoo Crew welcomes Michael Young, Nelly Cummings, Greg Elliott, Nike Sibande, Mo Gueye, and others to the roster this year.

Cummings, Elliott, and Sibande starred for Pitt this past season as the Panthers made it to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2016. Gueye played for the Panthers two seasons ago after transferring in from Stony Brook, and spent this past year playing for the Texas Legends of the NBA G-League.

Former Pitt star and current Director of Player & Alumni Development Gilbert Brown will serve as the team’s general manager and head coach.

The Basketball Tournament, or “TBT,” is a 64-team tournament that runs each summer with a one-million dollar prize for the winning team. Zoo Crew will play in the West Virginia Regional in Wheeling, West Virginia beginning July 25.

Zoo Crew, which was formerly known as “The Untouchables” played in TBT from 2016-18.
