Elite 2024 4-Star WR Nick Marsh Taking First Official Visit to Pitt

Tiquan Underwood rolled out the red carpet for Hykeem Williams last summer, and it appears that he’s firmly in the mix for another elite wide receiver this summer.

Nicholas Marsh — a 6-foot-3, 200-pound four-star wide receiver from River Rouge High in River Rouge, Michigan — announced that he will be taking an official visit to Pittsburgh from June 1-3.

Marsh, a one-time Michigan State commit, holds offers from nearly 40 schools, and he will be taking official visits to Pitt, Penn State (June 9), Kansas (June 14), Auburn (June 16) and Michigan State (June 23).

His Top 12 in April featured Auburn, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Kansas, Penn State, UCLA, Ole Miss, Notre Dame, Oregon and Maryland.

So, clearly, Underwood and Pitt have done enough to work into the mix.

Pitt first offered Marsh way back in 2021, with Archie Collins extending an offer on Nov. 12, 2021, and while it didn’t appear as if the relationship had advanced, Underwood has clearly done enough to earn an official visit.

For his efforts as a junior at River Rouge, Marsh earned first-team All-State honors. In just two games listed on MaxPreps, he racked up nine receptions for 146 yards (16.2 yards per reception) and a touchdown.

As a big, rangy wideout, Marsh’s contested catch ability stands out on film. He’s a playmaker with the size, speed and strength to turn any catch into a touchdown.

247Sports rates Marsh as the 99th-ranked recruit in the class (15th-ranked wide receiver and the third-ranked recruit from Michigan) while Rivals rates him as the 44th-ranked recruit in the class (eighth-ranked wide receiver and third-ranked recruit from Michigan).

On3 rates Marsh as the 86th-ranked recruit in the class (15th-ranked wide receiver and the third-ranked recruit from Michigan).

It would appear that Pitt, Auburn, Penn State, Kansas and Michigan State are the top contenders for Marsh at this point in his recruitment, and having the first crack at hosting him for an official visit could pay dividends.

Marsh will be announcing his decision on July 7.

Pitt currently holds a commitment from four-star wide receiver DayDay Farmer, and Marsh would be an elite pairing in the class of 2024. Four-star Keylen Adams, three-star Triston Ward and three-star Ricky Johnson will also be taking official visits this June.

The June 1-3 visit period will include Marsh, Adams, three-star quarterback Trever Jackson, four-star safety Reggie Powers, four-star linebacker Gabriel Williams, four-star defensive end Elias Rudolph, among others.
